Black Lives Matter. I haven't been able to concentrate on much of anything besides that. I had a timely themeless grid ready for the blog last Friday, but I've struggled to find the motivation to write clues for it, when a critical chapter of history is being written before our eyes. Racism has no place in our world and inaction to fight it is complicity. Please contribute to anti-racist efforts in whatever way you can. If that way is financial, Paolo Pasco is offering a pack of puzzles (including one authored by me) to anyone who donates to BLM drives. Erik Agard has made a similar offer on his Twitter. You should also solve this week's puzzles by Enrique Henestroza Anguiano, Trent Evans, and Ross Trudeau.

As for this site: today's puzzle is an older one. Matthew and I constructed it last October when we happened to share a flight out of St. Louis. I barely remember constructing it, but I won't forget how exciting it was to make a puzzle out in the wild, so to speak. (We even made a friend along the way!)

Stay well, keep up the good fight, and enjoy the puzzle,

- Sid

From Matthew:

This isn’t my favorite puzzle I’ve made (or even my favorite puzzle I’ve made with Sid — we’ve put together some great collabs since!), but it was probably my favorite to construct. What a thrill to find a fellow puzzlemaker at the airport *and* find out that you’re headed to the same place! If you haven’t collaborated with your seatmate on a three-hour flight, I’d recommend it, especially if that person is Sid. Hope you enjoy!
