I saw the revealer for today's puzzle trending on Twitter yesterday, and I'd been following some of the international developments over the last week. It's one of those zeitgeisty phrases that easily begets a crossword theme. (Let me disclaim that this puzzle intends no political commentary — it's merely topical.)

In other news: registration for Boswords 2020 (a crossword tournament, usually held in person in Boston, that is online this year for obvious reasons) is now open — and I've got one of the puzzles in the competition! You can register at a nominal cost, and the tournament supports Boston-based organizations who are doing important work.
